Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make sourdough bread?

No. We don't have a sourdough starter and have no intentions to add sourdough bread to our menu. Sorry!

What about cheesecake?

We cannot have cheesecake on our menu because it is not approved under cottage food laws due to it requiring refrigeration. Any product containing cream or custard-filled ingredients are considered too risky to sell in a home kitchen. Cottage food laws are designed for products that can sit on a countertop.

Do you use fondant for your cakes?

No, we do not. All cakes/cupcakes are made with traditional American Buttercream Frosting. We currently have no intentions to use fondant, so please do not request it for your cake/cupcake order(s). Thank you!

Can we request something that isn't on the menu?

We highly encourage you to order products that are on our menu. However, we are open to suggestions on potential new flavors! If your request is cottage food law friendly, we may make an exception to making it. However, off-menu flavors may also result in being charged an extra fee, which we will disclose before you pay your 50% non-refundable deposit. Who knows; your suggestion may end up being a success and eventually added to our menu permanently!

What is the deposit for?

The required 50% non-refundable deposit is meant to help cover the cost of the materials for your order. It also protects against last-minute cancellations, securing the date and prevents us from turning away other customers for the date/timeslot that you choose. A significant deposit signals that you are serious about your order. Once we receive your deposit, your order, date and time of pickup/local delivery are locked in!

Why do you only deliver in Folsom?

Have you seen gas prices? Just kidding, that's not really why! The main reason is we have little baby and while she loves car rides, we don't want her to be in her car seat for long periods of time. Pickup is honestly most convenient, and we highly encourage you to do so even if you live close. However, we decided to include local delivery since it isn't too out of the way to deliver orders to customers within 5 miles or less of us.

Why are pickup/delivery days only on Friday & Saturday?

We intend to run our business on a weekly schedule. This way, the business stays more organized, and we can better ensure your orders get the attention they deserve. It saves from the chaos of rushing out to buy materials multiple times a week; that's not as efficient as having one day a week reserved specifically for ingredient shopping. In the future, we may consider accepting rush orders (orders with 24hr-48hr notice) depending on what you order. Just be aware that a rush order would result in an additional fee.
